This is a LED retrofit light for 12" Florescent Tube Lights. Due to the size of these smaller tube lights, an external driver is provided. This driver converts 10-30v DC RV power to a clean 12v DC power for long tube life. Other brands of retrofit tube lights have a wire and the driver hanging out the side of the tube, we choose to provide the driver separately and we utilize the natural pins on the end of the tube for power for a much cleaner looking installation. Since the driver occupies the space of your previous ballast, you will never see the wires or driver while looking up at your fixture.
6000k Cool White. For 4500k Natural White see part number T5-Tube-NW. Though not as popular, this tube is also available in 3200k Warm White part number T5-Tube-WW for those that want a Warmer Look.
You will need basic 12vDC wiring skills to install these tubes, or have them professionally installed. Wiring is basic, each driver gets a positive and negative wire connected, and each driver has a positive and negative wire that need to be connected to the end of each tube. Instructions for T5-12 tube retro fit
The materials are great. But it would have helped me if you would have stated in the hard copy mailed instructions the necessity to cut the jumper wire on the 2 tube fluorescent fixtures when changing them over for LED tubes. I did eventually find that information in one of your online resources, but please start including that in the Installation Instructions for the T5 12" Tube Lights. Thank you! M4 Note: Thank you for the input. We kind of cover this for applicable fixtures on #9 on the instructions that says "you should end up with one wire coming from each socket". Some fixtures have jumper wires, some do not, so adding it would confuse those with the later. Instructions can be previewed at http://m4sales.com/InstallT5.pdf

12 in LED tube
I have an older motor coach that has many florescent lights. One went bad and when I was testing the fixture, I found the ballast was bad...no direct replacement was available, so I started looking into LEDs. Mostly what I found was the strips that were sticky tape installed, and this option was not to my liking. Then I found this company !! The tube replaces a standard fluorescent bulb that bypassed the ballast issue.. I did the rewire in just a couple minutes and it is awesome! At first, it was not lighting up, but the instructions are very good and I just swapped ends because it is polarity sensitive and it is perfect.

12" T-5 LED TUBE LIGHT CONVERSION KIT
The 12” fluorescent tube light in our RV bathroom would frequently flicker, or go out entirely. After many tube exchanges I decided that I would convert the fixture to LED tubes. In order to make the conversion easier I removed the light fixture and performed the conversion on my workbench. The conversion requires removal of the ballast and elimination of some of the physical wires. The instructions were very thorough making the conversion a simple and easy process. I reinstalled the fixture and, voila, I now have a much brighter outlook on life from that vantage point. The LED tubes do not flicker nor dim, and I do not expect to have to replace the tubes again. This is a very simple conversion and one that I highly recommend. I am also extremely happy with my dealings with M4LED. They are very professional and competent. I have no doubt that if assistance is needed they will provide it with a smile.
