    This is a LED retrofit light for 12" Florescent Tube Lights.  Due to the size of these smaller tube lights, an external driver is provided.  This driver converts 10-30v DC RV power to a clean 12v DC power for long tube life.  Other brands of retrofit tube lights have a wire and the driver hanging out the side of the tube, we choose to provide the driver separately and we utilize the natural pins on the end of the tube for power for a much cleaner looking installation.  Since the driver occupies the space of your previous ballast, you will never see the wires or driver while looking up at your fixture. 

    6000k Cool White.  For 4500k Natural White see part number T5-Tube-NW.  Though not as popular, this tube is also available in 3200k Warm White part number T5-Tube-WW for those that want a Warmer Look.

    You will need basic 12vDC wiring skills to install these tubes, or have them professionally installed.  Wiring is basic, each driver gets a positive and negative wire connected, and each driver has a positive and negative wire that need to be connected to the end of each tube.  View the full detailed installation instructions here  Not recommended to be used near HAM radio or in close proximity to sensitive radio or tv equipment.

      My 2008 Arctic Fox TT has 1 fixture that uses this bulb. I'm not an electrician, but that has never stopped me from attempting to do my own electrical work where it makes sense to do so. Since we are talking DC voltage my stress levels were lower. I contacted Steve at M4 and he is great at walking you through the modifications using the provided instructions. My lights are working properly with the new T5 LED's and I am very satisfied!

      I bought 4 of these to start and was impressed with the ease of installation. At first they wouldn't light but, I turned the bulbs end for end the way the instructions said to and they worked perfectly. So, I bought 6 more.

      I love the ease of installation and the increased brightness. Very happy with the switch from fluorescent lighting to LED lighting.

      Instructions were very good but my fixture had a jumper wire from the left side bulb to the right side bulb which had to be cut. This possibility was not mentioned in the instructions.

      Everything else workedfine. M4 Note: Section 1, 9, and 10 of the T5 instructions sheet that comes with the tubes touch on this (each tube must have its own driver independently wired) There are several variations of original fixture wiring, but after the ballast is removed they are basically the same once you ensure you have one wire per socket on T5 fixtures.
