This is a LED retrofit light for 12" Florescent Tube Lights. Due to the size of these smaller tube lights, an external driver is provided. This driver converts 10-30v DC RV power to a clean 12v DC power for long tube life. Other brands of retrofit tube lights have a wire and the driver hanging out the side of the tube, we choose to provide the driver separately and we utilize the natural pins on the end of the tube for power for a much cleaner looking installation. Since the driver occupies the space of your previous ballast, you will never see the wires or driver while looking up at your fixture.
4500k Natural White. For 6000k Cool White see part number T5-Tube-CW. Though not as popular, this tube is also available in 3200k Warm White part number T5-Tube-WW for those that want a Warmer Look.
You will need basic 12vDC wiring skills to install these tubes, or have them professionally installed. Wiring is basic, each driver gets a positive and negative wire connected, and each driver has a positive and negative wire that need to be connected to the end of each tube. Easy to update!
The ballast in my fixture burned up so I investigated migrating it to LED. With this kit it was very to do. I am very glad I made the conversion!

Easy conversion
Converted one florescent fixture. It was quite simple and went very well. Will probably convert more fixtures as the tube burnout.

Best 12” LED
Only had one 12” fixture in our coach entry area. Use only when we know are returning in the dark. This is the brightest 12”. Also replaced all our 18” bulbs with M4. The natural white is perfect. See previous review. Thank you M4

T5 FLORESENT TYPE TUBES
THE BULBS WERE A LITTLE HARSH FOR THE MAIN CABIN OF OUR RV SO I PUT THEM IN TGHE BATHROOM AND THEY ARE GREAT. I HAVE ORDERED 2 WARM WHITI TUBES FOR THE MAIN CABIN M4 Note: Color is definitely a personal preference, always see our Color Range Page to determine what you prefer as everybody likes something different: http://www.m4products.com/bulb-cross-reference-and-color-range/

New lights in the Roadtrek
I just finished replacing 6 fluorescent bulbs in my Roadtrek motor home with M4LEDs. Job was easy and the lights work fine. The company M4 sent the bulbs very quickly. Hope I don’t need any more for a long time but if I do I’ll order from M4. I replaced fluorescent units that were working well to reduce the drain in my house batteries so I can boondock longer between charges.

Great replacement
These tubes offer an excellent replacement when you have a bad ballast and you're faced with either replacing the ballast or replacing the fixture. I got to keep our original fixture and got a brighter light. Instant on with no warm up to get full brightness. Very energy efficient. Great value for long term benefits. I expect that I will replace expended fluorescent tubes with these bulbs as well.

Great replacement
I ordered two bulbs to replace the two OEM flourescent bulbs. I hooked one up per instructions and couldn't get the second one to light up, but I think it was my not connecting it properly. I was running short on time, so I decided to try the fixture with the one bulb and it seems to be just a bright with one bulb as the two old bulbs. I will try again to connect the second bulb again and see what happens. So far, I am verry impressed as I am with all the M4 Products I have used in the past. You are my go-to site for 12V LED bulbs. M4 Note: The T5 tube is polarity sensitive and marked DC+ at one end, DC- at the other. Look at the markings and Turn it around, 9 times out of 10.

Nice lights to replace old tubes.
Replaced old T5 tubes with these instead of replacing entire fixture because the ballast went out on the old florescent lights. Followed wiring instructions and all is good with better than OEM lights now.
