This is a LED retrofit light for 12" Florescent Tube Lights. Due to the size of these smaller tube lights, an external driver is provided. This driver converts 10-30v DC RV power to a clean 12v DC power for long tube life. Other brands of retrofit tube lights have a wire and the driver hanging out the side of the tube, we choose to provide the driver separately and we utilize the natural pins on the end of the tube for power for a much cleaner looking installation. Since the driver occupies the space of your previous ballast, you will never see the wires or driver while looking up at your fixture.
4500k Natural White. For 6000k Cool White see part number T5-Tube-CW. Though not as popular, this tube is also available in 3200k Warm White part number T5-Tube-WW for those that want a Warmer Look.
You will need basic 12vDC wiring skills to install these tubes, or have them professionally installed. Wiring is basic, each driver gets a positive and negative wire connected, and each driver has a positive and negative wire that need to be connected to the end of each tube. Tried a cheap hack that was a mistake
Tried the cheap hack trick of using led strips. It worked but it was a lot of work and in the end not a smart choice. Bought this on the advice of RVgeeks. Took about 10 minutes a fixture to convert. Lights look great and put out a lot of light. Will be ordering other lights soon. Great service and communication.

a lot of light from a small lamp
I changed all the florescent fixtures in my Motorhome and I am amazed how much better the lights are. Thanks

This Lighting is Quite an Improvement over Fluorescent Tubes
I modified one two-tube 12" fixture in about 10 minutes. Unlike the 18" fixture conversion, the wires on the 12" fixture were a bear to get under the center cover. When I installed the tubes only one would fit; the other was too long. With only one tube working, however, the light was as bright as the old two fluorescent tubes. M4 Products sent a replacement tube and now I have a very bright 12", two-tube light fixture. I'll be modifying all my old fixtures over time with these conversion kits and tubes. M4 Note: We had a production run with some tube that were longer than spec. This has been corrected.

The end of fluorescent tubes!
I modified three two-tube Thin-Lite fixtures in one after noon. Each needed a new ballast, and I felt this was a better way to spend my money. I think the new lights are brighter than fluorescents. I followed the directions, but wondered if a separate driver was really necessary for tubes in parallel. In the future, I may use crimp connectors in place of wire nuts to reduce the bulk of the wiring. I am deferring future modifications until I use up the supply of fluorescent I now have. M4 Note: Definitely use one driver per tube and keep them separate.
