This is a direct 1383 LED Retrofit for most fixtures. This is a full 3 Watt Bulb with all the light, but pulls only 0.21 amps at 13vdc. On average uses about 15% of the power of a regular 1383. Many other suppliers will only offer 1-2w bulbs at this price range which are not bright enough. Check your fixture at the base to ensure there is clearance for the larger lower body.

Reading Lamp replacements
These warm white bulbs fit perfectly and are easy on the eyes for reading.

Warm white is perfect
Tried warm white and natural white and like the warm white much better. Lights work perfectly. No longer burn my finger tips turning the lights off!

Reading light upgrade
I upgraded my two reading lights in my camper. The results are fantastic. less amp draw and much less heat generation than from the incandescent bulbs.

Best alternative for super hot incandescent bulbs I have seen
Our RV has several directional reading lights that had incandescent bulbs with a metal shade. The vinyl ceiling has a clear burn where someone who will remain nameless fell asleep only to awake to the smoke detector siren and the smell of burning plastic. The concentrated heat rising from the light was too much for the vinyl ceiling liner. No more, we now have more light and no heat making the reading lamps functional and fun.

Great substitute for incandescent
As title says great replacements, as close as possible to the incandescent as far as color (Kelvins) and size. M4 was awesome to work with fast and friendly.

Works Great
Works great and plugs right in. Plus it's not burning hot like the lights it replaced.

Nice looking replacement
This is a very well built bulb. The beam is a bit more of a spot then a flood. It has the same base as an 1141 bulb. I used these in a 71' Airstream Land Yacht in the reading spot lights over the sofa/bed. I initially installed one of these in the spot light over the kitchen sink but the beam was a bit narrow for that location. I then tried one of the 1156-30-3528-CW economy bulbs in this location and it gives off a wider and visibly brighter light(the can for the bulb on the '71 Airstream is recessed, global shaped and has a gold brushed metallic aluminum finish. This can is a very good reflector so it works better with the omnidirectional economy bulb). Keep in mind that if the bulb face is going to be visible in an overhead location then the 1383 with the diffuser face would probably be more aesthetically pleasing. In locations where the spot is below eye level and you can't see the face of the bulb then the 1156-30-3528 or the 1156-24-5050 will provide a bright light with more flood characteristic. Bottom line is the M4 bulbs are top notch. After replacing EVERY bulb in this '71 including the overhead circular fluorescent bulbs the entire interior is brighter and the combined current for ALL the lights being on is 2.77amps. WOW! For the sake of comparison, the three bulb reading light over each of the twin beds used 4.5 amps EACH with incandescent bulbs and the light was yellowish. I installed three LED's initially but they were a tad two bright so removed the center LED and now the light is just right and it is a nice cool white which is great for my tired eyes. Best part is the two LED's that replace the three incandescent bulbs in the reading fixture only use .34 amps! That is a 92% reduction in power!!!! NOTE: About the fluorescent conversion: I removed the circular bulbs, cut the power wires going to the ballast and then installed 3 of the plate LED's (ALPLATE-24-5630-CW) using the adhesive backing on each one then wired them in with wire nuts to the feed wires I cut from the ballast. Light is just as bright and now consumes .33 amps versus 1.72 amps @ 12.8 volts DC)

Nice Light
Nice bedroom reading light, nice color and tone. Maybe slightly overpriced. good fit, could be best on the market.

Best color light EVER!
I replaced one cheap very poor LED and one incandescent in our bed reading lights. Now we read with proper light, no heated lamp shade and HUGE energy saving in the battery bank. In a short word---Buy these bulbs. They are the best value.
