This is a direct 1383 LED Retrofit for most fixtures. This is a full 3 Watt Bulb with all the light, but pulls only 0.21 amps at 13vdc. On average uses about 15% of the power of a regular 1383. Many other suppliers will only offer 1-2w bulbs at this price range which are not bright enough. Check your fixture at the base to ensure there is clearance fo the larger lower body.

GREAT!!!!
The M4 site is an outstanding resource, the bulbs are exactly as described, and the pricing can't be beat. I recently retrofitted our RV with LEDs. We used this bulb as well as 7 other bulb types, 53 bulbs total. Every bulb we purchased for every application was EXACTLY as described and matched our needs perfectly. What more can I say , this LED spotlight (reading light) fit perfectly and was an easy fit.

Nicde replacement for readings over the bed
Traded out one light and compared. The light that came with the trailer is a lot warmer. The amp reading on the bulb that it replaced was 2.8 amps. With is conversion I am only using 7.5% of the power required of the original bulb. So now I will be able to read the whole book before the battery dies rather than just one chapter.

Bright Light
It is a very bright light. Good for area lighting. If you are going to read I would suggest the warmer color.

Great LED replacement light
Great replacement light for our incandescents. We really like the cool white colors. The light seems brighter and is easy to read by. The old "yellowish" color gave everything kind of a dirty look. We're very happy and the prices seemed reasonable.
