This LED with a dome cover is great for areas where you don't need as much light as bigger bulbs, want a certain look, or color range. They can also be used in exterior lights and are more protected from moisture because of the dome. The aluminum body is a great heat sink, and they have a standard BA15s 15mm or 5/8" wide base with a single contact on the bottom and two locating pins on the side. They do have a strong protective circuit and they are rated at 12-30vDC.
This item is available in three colors of light:
For Red see part number 1156-DOME-RED - Bright red light
For Amber see part number 1156-DOME-AMBER - This is less yellow, more super warm white or amber.
For 6000k Cool White see part number 1156-DOME-CW - Bright Cool White (this item)
